Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 May 2026

About these terms

These terms cover your use of the SaFest website at 2026.sa-fest.space (the “Site”). By signing in, donating, or using any feature of the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

SaFest 2026 is a private, invite-only, not-for-profit gathering. These terms cover the Site itself. Rules about attending the event in person are covered separately in our General information and guidelines.

Who can use the Site

Access is by invitation only. You may use the Site if you've been invited by an existing guest or approved by the organisers after submitting an invitation request. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything done under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to register or donate.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use someone else's account or share your account.
  • Attempt to disrupt the Site, bypass security, or access parts of it you haven't been granted.
  • Submit content that's illegal, abusive, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Use the Site or any data on it (including the guest list) for commercial purposes, marketing, or anything outside the festival.

The community playlist

Ticket-holders can suggest songs for the festival's community playlist by submitting public YouTube video URLs. When you submit a URL:

  • The Site adds the video to a private suggestions playlist owned by the festival's curator on YouTube.
  • The curator may select some submitted songs for the public event playlist; we are not obliged to include every submission.
  • You confirm you have the right to suggest the video and that it doesn't breach YouTube's own terms.
  • You may withdraw your own submission at any time; the organisers may also remove any submission at their discretion.

By submitting, you grant the organisers a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the submitted URL and any comment you add for the purpose of running the playlist feature.

Donations

Donations are processed via Stripe and go toward shared infrastructure and equipment for the weekend. SaFest is not-for-profit; donations are not commercial purchases. Refund eligibility is described in the General information and guidelines.

Third-party services

The Site relies on third-party services to operate. Their own terms apply when you interact with them:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Supabase — sign-in and database.
  • Vercel — hosting.
  • Resend — email delivery.
  • YouTube (Google) — embedded playlist and song-submission feature.

See our Privacy Notice for how your information is handled.

No warranties; limitation of liability

The Site is provided “as is.” We make no warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the organisers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site, including loss of access, data, or playlist content.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove your account at any time if you breach these terms, behave abusively toward other guests or organisers, or for any reason consistent with running the festival safely. You may request account deletion by emailing us (see below).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
